InTrade Predictions For GOP House Takeover:

Early Primaries Successful And Disappointing
by EagleEye Pundit  February 3rd 2010

U.S. Representative Mark Kirk won the Republican primary for the Senate seat previously held by President Obama.  This is a disappointment for the grassroots of America whom were supporting Judge Lowery or Patrick Hughes in the primary.  Kirk voted for the Crap & Tax Bill, although he is trying to distance himself from that vote now.  Unfortunately, a vote is a vote and helped this legislation along.  Kirk is a moderate Republican, which makes him similar to Scott Brown.  The possibility of another "Massachusetts" is real, but is this what conservatives are striving for in this country.  Do we want to fill Democrat held seats with moderate Republicans who will support Progressive ideas in the long run?

The good news is that the grassroots supported candidate in Southern Florida won the Republican primary for Robert Wexler's vacated House seat.  Ed Lynch won handily despite attempts of his opponents to smear him and his campaign staff.  This is a Democrat held seat that Republicans can win to take a seat away from PlastiGirl in the House.  The final election is in April.  And in Illinois House District 11, Adam Kinzinger won who was the grassroots supported candidate there.  Apparently, the grassroots is having more influence within the GOP in the more local races.

by Rick Klein  January 20th 2010

He'd agreed to run under one condition: He would not, under any circumstances, miss any of his daughter's high-school basketball games.

So it was that on the Friday before Election Day, Dominick Ianno, then the executive director of the Massachusetts Republican Party, found himself shuttling then-state Rep. Brown between Boston and two different suburbs so Brown could wedge in a basketball game between two final campaign debates.
